A very obvious biblical parallel in Lord of the Flies is the title itself. The title lord of the flies came be found in the Babylonian phase “Beelzebub” which is translated to say lord of the flies. In the bible this can be found in chapter 3 of Mark verse 22, “He has Beelzebub… the ruler of the demons…” This is just one of the names that Satan is given in the book of the bible. Another name that is in the lord of the flies that can be related to Satan is the Beast. Throughout chapter 13 of the Revelation, it talks about Satan being a “great” beast.
